Sure. Either way is fine, although doing it over PM might make the thread a bit cleaner if we ever have to look back at it for any reason.

"Ah, jeez! Even after everything, I'm still being overworked!"

That voice belonged to no other than Cafe Mew Mew's resident team leader, Momoiya Ichigo. As usual, the cat Mew was the only one really doing work- Pudding was at the register, impressing some young couple with her tricks; Lettuce, sweet as she was, dropped plates so often that it did more harm than help; and, while Zakuro did actually do her work, she didn't make up for the others' lack of progress either.

Plus, Mint just sat there drinking her tea. Again. Always the laziest of the bunch- in Ichigo's opinion, at least. She only ever did anything if Zakuro told her to, or just to spite Ichigo.

And Ryou still yelled at her for not doing "enough" work!

Grumbling to herself, the redhead continued to mop up one of the customer's spilled drinks.

Mint sat at one of the tables casually sipping her tea. She laughed, watching Ichigo ran around the shop and complain about being overworked.
Lettuce carried a large pile of dishes towards the kitchen. The dishes in the middle wobbled and fell over. "Oh no!" She cried as the dishes fell to the floor and smashed into tiny pieces.
Ryou bursted out from behind the kitchen door. "What happened?" He asked.
Lettuce looked down at the ground. She could feel her face burn with embarrassment.
"She dropped some dishes." Mint replied, taking another sip of her tea.
Ryou looked over at Lettuce and sighed. "Okay, well get the mess cleaned up." He ordered Lettuce, who nodded. He turned to Mint, "Mint help her."
"What? Me?" Mint protested. "No way! Have Ichigo help her."
"Okay, fine. Ichigo, help Lettuce clean up the mess." Ryou said and went back into the kitchen.

"WHAT!?" Ichigo exclaimed, whirling around to face Ryou- or the spot where he had just been, at least. "Why me? I'm the one doing the most work, and you're gonna make me do more while she's just sitting there?" she whined, even though she knew fully well that Ryou wouldn't listen to her complaints.

He never did. And quite honestly, it got annoying.

Zakuro glanced up from the table she had been cleaning. "Mint, shouldn't you help out too? Ichigo's already busy." the wolf Mew commented offhandedly, her tone almost uninterested, before refocusing on her own work.

"W-well..." Mint trailed off. Zakuro was her idle. It was hard for her to say no. With a sigh she stood up. She placed her teacup on the table carefully before grabbing a broom and helping Lettuce clean up the mess. Lettuce kept repeating how sorry she was.

Ichigo stared at Zakuro as if the older girl was her savior. She knew that Zakuro probably hadn't said that for her sake, but it had still gotten her out of doing even more of Mint's work. Humming to herself, Ichigo had a catlike grin on her face as she began to mop once more, albeit with a bit more enthusiasm.

Zakuro, on the other hand, only glanced approvingly at Mint as she actually helped Lettuce.

And of course Pudding, rather oblivious to it all, was still doing tricks at the front as the last customers began to leave.

The last of the costumers left the shop and the girls finished cleaning up the shop. Ryou came out of the kitchen and looked at the Mew Mews. "As soon as you finish up closing the shop come back here. There's something important we all need to dicuss.

"Huh..?" Ichigo asked, looking up at Ryou. "Something new? But Deep Blue is already defeated... what else could there be?" the redhead murmured. Shrugging to herself, she refocused on her work so she could find out sooner.

A few minutes later, all the Mews were gathered in the cafe's basement- somewhere they hadn't needed to be for a while.

Ryou was waiting in the basement of the cafe for the Mews. He lend againist the wall with one foor proped againist the wall.
"What did you need?" Mint asked a but annoyed. She wanted to go home.
"There have been strange occruences lately. Animals from the local zoo as well as some animals from several pet shops have been stolen."

"Why would someone be stealing animals out of the blue?" Zakuro chimed in. "Even when the aliens used them, they rarely actually bothered to steal them."

"Yeah! Stealing animals is even badder, na no da!"

"And I'm guessing that you only called us here because now we have to go investigate..." Ichigo muttered dejectedly. It wasn't that she minded investigating as much as she just wanted to go home and take a cat nap. Even after the better part of a year had passed by, the lingering effects of her cat instincts still remained.

"That's correct." Ryou replied to Ichigo. "I need you girls to search the areas where the animals had been stolen. See if you can find anything out of the ordinary."
"But that could take forever!" Mint whines. She really just wanted to go home.
"Well then the sooner you start, the sooner you will be done." Ryou remarks.
"So you want us to all check every petstore too?" Lettuce asks quietly.
Ryou shakes his head. "No tonight I want you all to check out the zoo. I already spoke to the owner and he gave the okay for you girls to be there."

Ichigo groaned exaggeratedly. "I guess I won't be catching up on sleep tonight then... well, at least it's Friday." she said.

After a moment, another question seemed to come to mind. "Oh, can we still transform?" the redheaded teenager asked. "I know that we still have the pendants, but we haven't tried since we defeated Deep Blue."

"Really?" Ichigo asked, looking mildly surprised. She had expected something else, like the pendants just shutting down after the aliens were gone or something. She wasn't too surprised, though- this was Ryou and Keiichiro, after all.

"Okay you all are familar with the zoo in the center of the city correct?" Ryou asks.
"Everyone knows where the zoo is." Mint replies with a laugh.
Lettuce just nods.
Ryou pulls out five cards and hands them to each of the mews.
"What are these?" Lettuce asks, looking at the golden cards.
"These are the cards you will need to have in order to gain access to the zoo once it closes."
"We are going there after dark?" Mint asks.
"Yes, according to the reports the animals have been stolen at night. If the person responsible for this strikes, you girls will be able to catch him."

Zakuro nodded, taking her card from Ryou. Catching an actual human would be a first, but nothing they couldn't deal with.

"Yay~ Pudding gets to go the zoo after dark, na no da!" the young blonde exclaimed, bouncing up and down. She obviously wasn't bothered by the fact that they were going after a criminal.

Ichigo didn't mind the searching or even potentially going after the criminal, but the idea of being alone in the zoo once it was nighttime was a tad unsettling. "Are we going to be searching in groups, then?" she spouted out yet another question. "And where will you and Keiichiro be?"

Lettuce chuckled at the monkey mew. She seemed excited.
"Well there are five of you." Ryou says thinking, "So you could work on your own, group up with one other person, leaving one to work on their own, work in two groups with two in one group and three in the other, or you could all work together. I'd suggest you spilt up into smaller groups."
"Oh we will be here of course." Keiichiro replies to the red headed mew with his normal smile.

Pudding grinned back at Lettuce. She was still bouncing slightly, but not as much as before.

"Okay..." Ichigo replied. She still looked a little unsettled, but she was mostly alright with answers she got- as long as she wasn't the one going alone.

Although, knowing her luck, it would probably still turn out that way...

((I guess one of my girls will be going alone, then?))

((Hmm... we could have them leave and go straight to the park, or add a little Ryou/Zakuro in between. Up to you. And I don't mind it being that way- plus, if the enemy targets the lone one, they'll show themselves faster~))

The mews leave the cafe and head to the zoo. The man at the front gate lets them in after he sees the golden cards.
"So what are we doing?" Lettuce asks. "How are we spliting up?"
Mint looked over at Zakuro. She hoped that if they split up, she could be in her group.
